OZON is one of the most popular marketplaces in Russia. Doesn’t matter in what corner of the country you live, you can buy almost anything there — fresh fruits, toys, musical instruments, household chemicals,

and usually in a very short time of delivery. It is something that amazes me.

During my design study on Logomachine Education course we had an assignment in collaboration with OZON: to make a collage poster, combining images that describe the character of OZON with elements of classical art. According to company’s brandbook, character of OZON is a little bit crazy, evokes strong emotions,

with a good sense of humour, seeks to surprise.

Summing up the assignment and a character of the company I immediately thought about Andy Warhol’s art.

He was a huge fan of consumption culture, even though someone can interpret his art now as a criticism.

But Andy himself was fond of it. So I decided to make a hommage to his art on this assignment. I fantasized, what can I buy on OZON? May be a blue cat? May be a red Mona Lisa? According to the assignment

I needed to make one collage, but I decided to make a series.

I took Andy’s most popular and iconic art method — replication. I took his art, made collages

and replicated them in OZON corporate colours. Art that was used: Cat Named Sam (one of his 25th cats), Doubled Mona Lisa, Flowers, Marilyn, Briggite Bardot. Shovel was the first thing that I saw,

when I went to OZON website to take some inspiration — that’s how a cat on a shovel was born.
